How To Donate

Regular Giving

The single most important way you can support the PTA is by setting up Regular Giving. This can be done by a standing order with your bank or better yet, by Payroll Giving via your employer - who may even match your donations. Regular Giving means the PTA has a better sense of how much money it can expect to receive each month, and how much needs to come from other fundraising activities.

To donate directly to the PTA please use the following details:

           Account name: Hampden Gurney PTA

Sort code: 20-69-17

Account Number: 73842630

Or donate via card or direct debit, using this GiveAsYouLive Donate link.

Entering credit card details

Many companies offer their employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by matching the money they raise for the PTA charity. This means that we could double the amount of funds available to support our school.

Did you know that your employer may:

  • Match your financial donations

  • Match your fundraising activities

  • Give you volunteer days

  • Donate old laptops or office equipment

  • Provide prizes for charity raffles and auctions.

In 2022, Hampden Gurney PTA benefited from c£6,000 from the employers of just 4 parents!

2nd Hand Uniform

Donating unwanted items of uniform gives clothes a second (or third or fourth!) lease of life as well as raising funds for the PTA. Please ensure they are clean and still in a wearable condition.

If you are a UK tax payer you can boost your regular giving, or any donations for that matter, by completing and returning our Gift Aid declaration form. In doing this you enable the PTA to claim back a whopping additional 25% of your donations from the government. Its a no-brainer!

Parents can now access their favourite online shops through a tailored Hampden Gurney portal-based on a ‘Shop and Give’ fund raising model. Simply put...you shop, they give!

The scheme is powered by Give As You Live, a not-for-profit organisation. When you buy online via Give As You Live, a sales commission is received from the participating shop.

This service is free to you, the shopper and giver. You’ll find more than 250 different shops including all your favourite high street names such as Sainsburys, John Lewis, Boots and others.

The philosophy behind the ‘Shop and Give’ model is to give a little often. So, get shopping and giving!

Other donations

The PTA regularly runs auctions, raffles, bake sales, fairs and other activities, so if you have any skills, goods or services you would like to donate, we would love to hear from you.
